CANADIANS' EASY WIN. (Per Press Association.) .HAMILTON, July 20. The Canadians met the South Auckland team at Hamilton this afternoon. The weather was fine, but the ground was exceedingly greasy. The game was played in the presence of 5000 spectators. It proved a walk-over for the Maple Leafers, who won by eight goals to one. The visitors’ combination was superior in every way. The South Auckland men, being drawn from a scattered area, bad no chance of playing together. The game was not very inspiring. The Canadians fielded a strong team, all except one having played in the last test at Wellington. Earlj’ in the game Robertson, the South Auckland left half, miskicked into his own goal, giving Canada a lead • Shortly afterwards Davidson slipped a nice shot into the net for Canada. Moon then goaled for the home team, smothering the Canadian goalie. Davidson and Turner each added another goal for Canada before half time. On resuming, the Canadians were more dangerous, and the South Auckland goalie made some brilliant saves, bsing called upon for heavy work. Brolly, Archibald, Crowley and Williams each added goals for Canada, the last three being towards the end of the g ame - Runanga State v. Marists B at Dunollie: —Jenkinson, Poote, G. Beale.
