REEFTON NOTES
(Our Owu CorroßpoD'lentJ REEFTON, July 21. Mi IL T. Lock, of Westport, was a visitor lo Reefton bn Tuesday. In the early days of Reeftou he was a resident here and remembered when there was not a house in Broadway. The Shield presented to the Inaiigahua Rugby League by Messrs Anisy Bros, is on view at present in Patterson’s window. It is a very fine piece of work and contains a large shield In the centre, on which is inscribed the names of the donors and also some twelve miniature shields with silver ribbons top and bottom. This trophy should excite keen competition, for its possession. The prizes at the social and euchre in Ihe Catholic Hall were won by Mr Mantling, Mrs McDonald second, Mrs Sharpe third.
