CHINESE WARFARE

ANTI-RED ALLIANCE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SHANGHAI, June 23. A message which virtually is an ultimatum has been sent to Hankow from General Feng Yuh Siang, as the outcome of a conference with General Chiang Kai Shek. M. Borodin is advised to- return to Russia, and the members of the Hankow Government are advised to leave the country. The message clarifies the situation immeasurably. General Feng Yuh Siang has continually been a doubtful factor, on whom either the North or the South might have reckoned. This is the first definite statement of his policy. Feng claims that he has an army of 200,000 ready to assist General Chiang Kai Shek to push on to Pekin. He declares that his alliance with General Chiang Kai Shek delivers a death blow to the Communists, and he expects to advance on Pekin unopposed, commencing in a few days.
