Miss Betty Nuttall, at the first international Anglo-French women’s tennis tournament at Eastbourne, beat Madame Vaussard 6/3, 7/5; and, with Mrs Godfree, beat Madame Mathieu and Mademoiselle Deve 6/2, 6/2. England is leading 6 matches to nil. LATER. In the Anglo-French tennis international match, Mademoiselle Deve beat Betty Nuttall 6/4, 6/2. Miss Nuttall played well, but Mdlle Deve placed the ball magnificently. AMERICANS WIN. LONDON, June 18. In the lawn tennis at Manchester, America beat Britain by five matches to nil. Tilden beat Higgs 6/4, 6/3, 6/2; Hunter beat Greig 6/1, 7/5, 6/8, 8/6.
