BASIC WAGE. SYDNEY, April 27.
Mr. Lang announced that the Government decided that the new basic wage for the State should operate early in June. The family endowment of 10/- weekly for each child of a wage earner, will be paid concurrently with the declaration of the new wage.
RIVERINA’S SALVAGE SYDNEY. April 27.
Salvage gear, including anchors, has been sent to the Riverina. The weather has moderated, and it is expected that when the anchors are laid and other salvage work carried out. the Riverina will be able to haul herself into deep water. ’>*_ -----
