REECE ATTEMPTS RECORD. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, April 27. Reece, playing Peall, made a break of 1343 with the aid of his penduluip, stroke. At the end of the session, he was also 546 in an unfinished break with the pendulum position. - The ball will be Jeft unmoved in that position overnight, and Reece to-morrow will try to beat Newman’s record break of 1370. | ~ , Reece declares that nobody will be able to do much with the pendulum stroke, as they will never find the secret. “I do not know it myself.” he said. “I cannot place the balls in the position with my hands'. 1 can only play them into it. Sometimes I 'do not know how to do it. It is a most exacting and exhausting shot that I know. One’s nerves are strung up all the time.” CHAMPIONSHIP FIN4L. LONDON, April 26. In the billiards match, Newman (playing) is 2667, and Davis 1095. BIG BREAKS i LONDON, April 27. Davis completed a break of 2501, and Reece (unfinished) 1852.
