WESTPORT’S NEW MAYOR.

WESTPORT, April 15.

Mr J. H. Harkness, retired schoolmaster, has been elected as Mayor unopposed. There are 14 nominations for the nine seats an the Borough Council, and there are five nominations for three seats on the Hospital Board. NEW PLYMOUTH. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 14. Mr F. E. Wilson, the retiring Mayor, has been re-elected unopposed. There are seventeen nominations for the Council, including all the retiring Councillors. There' are four nominations for two seats on the Harbour Board, but there will be no contest for the Hospital Board.
