•There js now exhibited among the latest acquisitions at the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, a flounce of m?odlepi|int face in the style of Point plat de Vcnise, 17th century. It was made by .Mary Bassett, of Mayfield, Sussex, and worn by her at her marriage in 1771. It has been given to the museum by her great-great-granddaughter.
