THREE MORE WORLD’S RECORDS ON CASTROL The Australian Half-Mile Dirt Track Championship won on the Newcastle (N.S-AV.) Speedway 16/10/26. AVinner, Pat. Hamilton who created new figures for the two miles —1 min. 50 2-stli seconds. Another AVorld’s record on Castrol. WORLD’S 24 HOURS RECORD again broken on “CASTROL”. The 24 hour Record put up by Lieut.-Col. and Mrs. R. N. Stewart at Montlhery on July 28th-29th has now been beaten by a 350 C.C. F.N., which, at Monza Track, Italy, on August 11-12th broke 17 AVorld’s Records in Class B, from 500 to 2,500 Kms., and from 4 to 24 hours. 147 MILES PER HOUR —This stupendous speed—the highest ever attained by a car on the road —was reached by Major H-O-D.
