The Kaponga arrived from Welling ton on Saturday evening. She loadt coal, timber and general cargo foi . Miramar and Wellington, and is ex pected to sail to-morrow. The Poolta is expected to sail this evening for Sydney, via Westport witl a cargo of timber. The Kamona is due from Dunedii on Wednesday, and will load coal and timber for Wellington. The Kartigi is due from Westpon on Friday. She will load coal foi Auckland. The Gabriella is due from Wa nganui on Wednesday. She will load a cargo of timber for Sydney. The Tees is expected to sail foi Wellington to-night, with a full load of timber. She sails from thence tc Chatham Islands. The Regulus leaves Onehunga on Wednesday for Nelson, Picton, Westport and Greymouth with general cargo. The Titoki is due to-morrow night from Wanganui direct to load coal for Onakaka. The Orepuki leaves Lyttelton today -for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth, with general cargo. The Waimea leaves Wellington tomorrow for Westport and Greymouth with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Nelson. SHIPS’ carpenters. WELLINGTON, December 6. The Conciliation Council on Frida} and Saturday considered the claims by shipwrights and ships’ carpenters foi an increase in wages and improvements in general conditions of work, for the the first time since the Arbitration Aci came into operation. The claims wert made on behalf of the men employee at sea. All matters in dispute wen arranged in a satisfactory manner with the exception of those iVmhs ri kiting to wages, overtime, rates, andfo; “dirty” work, which points are re furred to the Court.
