M. KRASSIN’S DEATH
A WEALTHY COMMUNIST (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) . LONDON,'Nov. 24. M. Krassin died in London from pernicious ahaemia, after several fruitless blood transfusions. He had been ailing for a long time, through malaria contracted in his youth, which resulted in his suffering from chronic anaemia, which had been somewhat relieved by frequent transfusions of blood. He was unable to preside, at the Soviet anniversary reception at Chesham House a fortnight ago, but he received a few special guests in his bedroom, including Mr. H. G. Wells. His death was due to haemorrhage. ’The Daily Telegraph’s Riga correspondent says: “According*to information from Moscow, M. Krassin left a fortune of about three million sterling in European banks, which his wife and daughters will inherit. It is most probable his successor in London will be M. Litvinoff.
