(Our Own Correspondent.) Good progress is being made with the repairing of our main thoroughfare. Doubtless cyclists and motorists will appreciate the improvement.. It is reported that the senseless chain-letter has made its reappearance in the district, this time starting apparently in the U.S.A. The wastepaper basket is the proper place for such epistles. Whitebait fishermen are not experiencing such a good season as they, did last year. Several good catches have been made, but they have not been regular.
