GABRIELLA CARNIVAL. The Carnival spirit will again be abroad at Greymouth on Wednesday and Thursday next, and will be evoKed by the men of the good ship Gabriella, otherwise the “Maggie lioffam.” There will be a great demonstration on Wednesday aifernon, and a ball on Thursday evening. Hie proceeds will be allocated to me funds for a Children’s Ward at the Hospital, and to the Municipal Band. The sale of lucky envelopes, each containing a prize, will be conducted. The programme for Wednesday’s deinonstration is as follows:—1.40 Band to be in attendance at Town Hall; 1.30 crew to dress in Waterside Workers’ Shed ; 2 p.m. board lorries; 2.10 arrive Town Hall; 2.15, arrival of Miss Gabriella; speech by Mayor and Mr Jones ; opening, Mayor t(. announce song by Miss Gabriella, announces to announcers, Seffon Park, Young Bill Powell. Musical item by the musical three. Move off to Golden Eagle Hdtel, move off to Ward’s Hotel. Stop main corners, proceeding after Preston’s Fish Shop to Hospital. Arrive at 4 p.m.
