REEFTON NOTES.

(Out Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, October 8. Mrs W. Remnant, who has been an inmate of the Grey River Hospital for a period of five weeks returned home to-day. She speaks in glowing terms of the work of the nursing staff at the hospital. Mr H. E. Holland, M.P., has received the following communication from the Postmaster-General: “In reference to your letter, pointing out that no recent orders had been placed in the Rotokohu district for silver pine telegraph poles, I beg to inform you that I find,, on enquiring into the matter, that the placing of orders has been held up pending the receipt of special branding hammers. The hammers are now to hand, and the placing of orders will not be delayed much longer.”
