Playiirg tlife final match jn the schools’ competition Jor the McKeown Shield, at/Victoria-Park this morning, Alarist A. won the trophy after an exciting finish by two goals to one, beating Runanga Convent in the last 20 seconds of the game. The teams were as follow : —Alarist A.: Preston, Hay, Crase, Beban (capt), Duffy, Kiely, Anderson, Aloss, De Freatus, Pollock, .O’Leary. Runanga:—Payne, Armstrong, Wylde (capt,),' Callahan, Devine, J. Clarke, Swallow, H Clarke Warwick, McTaggart, and O’Connell. Both teams played a bard game, and there was nothing to choose between them, the scores being equal until the last few moments, De Freatus having scored for Alarist and AVar? wick for Runanga. , Then Duffy put Alarist'.ahead with a good shot. The Shield will be presented next Saturday evening atria banquet to fbe h6Jd at Greymoutn. ’ ' * ’
