Mr W. Mcßride, Provincial Grand Master of the' Masonic Lodge in Canterbury, died at Timaru on Thursday, aged 50 years.

The death of Mr William Ernest Lutz, a former Cobden resident, ana brothei- of Mr Jules A. Lutz, formerly of Greymouth, now of Wellington, took place, at his residence at Wellington on Monday last. He was for many years in the butchery business at Cobden. He retired and , moved to Wellington in 1903.
