(Our Owu Correspondent.) REEFTON, March 0. Mr W. B. <Auld, County Clerk, has received advice from' Mr R. PHudson M.P., that the Hon t G. J. Anderson, Minister of ■ Mines,.. will arrive in Reef ton on. the evening o± March 16th, spend the night here and go to Murchison the next morning. - Mr L. Nicholson of Gibbs’ Aard Motor Service, left for Wanganui this morning where he enters into partnership with his father. The work of getting the cages -own the Energetic shaft is now in hand. The shaft is being examined and repaired preparatory to commencing to bailing out the bottom level. The repairs to the upper portion of the shaft have been completed, and it is confidently • expected that shortly operations in the bottom levels will be resumed. ' A meeting of. the committee of the A. and P. Association was held on Friday, Mr West presiding. Canvassers of Hukawai’ district reported good support for the Sliow, both stock and membership’ tickets. The Fields Inspector, C. S. Dalgleish, asked for an expression of opinion re Winter School for fanners on the West Coast.—Resolved that it be suggested that the school be held on similar lines to last

year. The Inangahua Silver Band will head the procession from the Council Chambers, and it was, resolved that Mr Worry be empowered to obtain any bread necesary for the’ entertainment of country school children. The matter of transport of Cronadun exhibits was left in the hands of Mr Cleaver. It was resolved that two ladies’ tickets be issued with each members’ tickets. ,
