PEART’S APPEAL FAILS (Special So ‘ Star.”) CHRISTCHURCH, March 5. The New Zealand Racing Conference dismissed the appeal by A. J. Peart against the decision of the Reef ton Jockey Club in disqualifying him for six months, and against the decision of the Greymouth District Committee in increasing such disqualification to twelve months’ from January 8, 1926, on the grounds that the horse ‘‘Cashman,” ridden by Peart, was not run on its merits m the Second Hurdle Race, at the Reef ton Jockey Club’s Race Meeting, January 8, 1926. The judgment held that “no evidence having been adduced before the judges to justify a disagreement with the decision of the •Greymouth District Committee, we hereby dismiss the appeal and order the deposit to be forfeited.” YEARLING SALES. At the yearling sales, a Caprice— Redink colt realised 1950 guineas, a Eurythmic—Latouche colt one thousand, and an All Black—Golden Down colt, GlOO guineas. A Valais-Otford colt,, brother of Manfred, realised 2750 guineas; a Woorak-Vinalia colt, seventeen hundred guineas; a Valais-Enmarella filly, fourteen hundred guineas, and a Woorak-Eiterian colt, eleven hundred guineas.
