SKELETONS IN CATHEDRAL.

After 800 years, it is definitely ascertained that the human skeletons found in Kirkwall Cathedral, Orkney, are the remains of Saint Magnus and his nephew Saint Rognvald, who founded a church m fulfilment of a vow to erect a minster suitable to receive his saintly uncle’s relic. It is noteworthy that in the back of the skull, which is believed to be Magnus’s, is a long hole compatible with the historical fact that Magnus was murdered by a blow on the head with a sharp instrument-
