AUCKLAND, January 21.
“I am delighted to be back in-dear old New .Zealand. I have so looked forward to my visit to my Maori people and their friends. Staples'Brown, 'better (known jas Maggie Papakura, the once famous Rotorua guide, on her | turn from England to-day. She will spend eight weeks .in th® Dominion, Great preparations have been made for her welcome at Rotorua, when a tahgi will be held. Mrs Staples Brown will be remembered by hundreds of ex-service men, whom she entertained so lavishly in 1915-16 at her beautiful home at Walton-on-Thanies. She was one of the most popular hostesses who threw her home open to convalescent Diggers. She left the Dominion, 14 years ago, to marry Mr Staples Brown, of Oxford. She returns in March via the U.S.A.
