WEST COAST- CHAMPIONS.

HOKITIKA, August 28.

The West Coast Golf Championship tourney was concluded to-day, afterthree perfect days. The gathering was successful in all points. The Men’s Championship Final was won by Sime (Westport), he beating Park (Westport), nine up and eight to play, on the 28th hole. The Ladies’ Championship was secured by Miss Moore (of Hokitika), she defeating Mrs Slee (Westport), at the 12th hole, seven and six.

The mixed foursome was won by Miss Kettle (Greymouth), and Neville (Hokitika)Sime put up a record of 35 for the first nine holes of the second round pf the final. The visitors were entertained at a ball to-night.

The catering at the tournament was carried out'by the ladies of All Saints Church, the proceeds to be devoted to the new church fund. About £4O was netted for the three days. ,
