The “Daily Telegraph’s’’ Berlin correspondent says : ‘‘After many months of negotiations,’ an agreement has been reached for the formation of a Franco, German Iron and Steel TniSt. Those interested may deny the statement, but I have it from unquestionable authority. France receives the right to send to Germany one and three-quarter million tons of iron ore from Alsace- Lorraine, the Sarrc Valley and Luxeiiiliurg annually. The German and French heavy industries will retain control of their own home markets, but they will form a joint syndicate for their foreign operations, .the. orders from which will be''divided proportionately between France and Germany. A separate syndicate is being formed to control the -output and control longterm’contracts for the delivery of Ruhr coal to France. This, agreement opens no the, prospect 6f coniprehensive .
