Hampshire in their first innings made 1-39. Macaulay took 4 for 40 and Kilner 4 For 63- Ihe second innings’ score was 153 (Brown 51). Macaulay took 6 for 73-
Yorkshire 403 (Rhodes 91. Macaulay 63, Allen not out 95). Yorkshire won by an innings and 116 runs. Cambridge University, hist innings 437 for 8 declared (Dawson 63, Lowe 33. Duleep Singh 130, Enthovcn not out 62). Second innings 184 for 4 declared (Dawson 83)., Somerset first innings 203 (Johnson not out 70). Merer took 5 tor 61. Second innings 306 (Macßryan 129, Hunt 51). Cambridge won by 112 runs. For Surrey against Warwick Hobbs made 215, Sandham 102. Fenley took 7 for 78. For Warwick, Parsons made 127. Surrey won.
For Northants against Notts, Wright made 103 and took 6 for 65. For Notfs Whysall made 108, Walker 102, Staples took 7 for 67. Notts won.
For Lancashire against Leicester. Tvldesley in the first innings took 5 for 19. and MacDonald in the second took 7 for 67. laincashire won.
