PLAGUE AT BRISBANE
LAUNDRY WOMAN INFECTED. (Australian and N.Z. Gable Association.) BRISBANE, June 24There is a suspected ease of bubonic plague, a young woman employed at a laundry. She developed symptoms which were clinically diagnosed by two doctors as suspected plague, but conclusive bacteriological examination has yet to be completed. Meantime, the patient has been removed to infectious diseases hospital, and other stringent precautions have been adopted.
