She sails for Auckland at 1 p.m. WELLINGTON, June 18Arrived at 12.40 p.m., Kaiapoi, from G-reyniouth. SHIPPING NOTES. The Kamona is due to-day from Westport to load coal for Auckland. The Ngakuta sailed from Lyttelton last night, for Greymouth direct. She will load coal and timber on arrival fur Wellington. The Gabriella- sailed for Melbourne last evening, timber laden. The Tees returns about next Monday from Waikokopu, and will load coal and timber for Wellington. The Joan Craig is due from ‘Wanganui about June 25, and will load timber for Melbourne. The Orepuki arrived this morning from Lyttelton, via Wellington, Nelson and Westport, with general cargo. .Alter discharge she loads timber for AVellingtou. and New Plymouth. 'The Titoki is due to-night from Wellington., "via Picton, with general cargo. ' She loads for Nelson. MYSTERIOUS ROCKET.' (Per Pres« Association.) WELLINGTON, June 17. Secretary A. Markman of the Pand T. Department- lias received the following information from the Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth : ‘‘The following was' handed me by Mr Holm (of Holm ami Cry . shupowners, New Plymouth) : “Rocket observed, bearing about N.E. by E., from position latitude 4(1 degrees 23£ S., 1.10 a.m., on 17/6/25; longitude, 173 degrees J E. s.s. Progrees steered N.E. by IL 21 miles and then altered course back to AV, /> S. 16 miles,, and then N.E. 14 miles. Sighted nothing, so proceeded. Rocket was seen distinctly to flash and fall.—H. L.
