GORNIK DEFEATS HEENEY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) GISBORNE, May 24. The professional boxing contest between Jack Heeney (11.8) and Max Gornik (11.12) ended in the midst of th« eleventh round with a win for Gornik, on a knock-out. The contest was by no means onesided. Heeney, though lacking his former dash, made a very creditable showing, and up to the end of the tenth round he was slightly in the lead on points, but he then took the count, to a short right hook on the temple.
