CHCH. BURGLARS
! ■ _____ — ______ ! ANOTHER SAFE ATTACKED. i (Special to “Star.”) CHRISTCHURCH, May 21. Sawing the door from its hinges, ; burglars broke into' the' safe on the . premises of Brabners, Ltd., coach and > motor builders, Fitzgerald Avenue, last nighi. They secured a little over £1 ’ in cash, all there was in the safa at ' the time. The thieves gained an entrance to the building by breaking through the ■ back door at the rear of the building, the tools having been taken from the workmen’s benches. That it was money ■ alone the thieves Wfere after, was shown by the fact that nothing else . was taken. Private papers and other ■ things were found scattered about the floor. The burglary is similar in many respects to that made upon the premises of Johnson and Sni'ith over the week-end. In that case, too, the thieves used tools taken from the workshop and sawed the door of the safe from 1 the hntges. There is little doubt that ' a,gang is operating.
