CHILDREN’S BALL.

A 'Very successful children’s plain and fancy dress ball was held in the United Pavilion last evening and in spite of -the weather conditions the hall was filled to its utmost. Dancing and games were indulged in until ten o’clock when the floor was taken by the adults. The* 8 grand march produced one of the prettiest arrays of fancy dresses that has been seen in Greymouth for many a day. The prizes for the best fancy dresses were won by Master Jack Gandell as “John Bull/’ and Miss Zelda Peters as “a. chicken..’.’ Both kiddies were beautifully dressed and the decision of the judges was very popular. The treasure -hunt was won by Miss Noelle Dunford and Master Dunford. A very enjoyable evening was brought to a cloae with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
