ARRANGING REFORM MEETING. i (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 15. The Prime Minister, Sir Francis Bell, states that the Cabinet held a meeting to-day to discuss the arrrangenients for the Reform Party's caucus at which a new Leader' of the Party is to be choseii. The date is not being disclosed at present. - ■ Sir Francis Bell says that he has no intention of filling the Cabinet vacancy that was caused by Mr Massey’s death. Presumably that would be left for the new leader to do, when he takes office as Prime Minister. FRANKLIN CONSTITUENCY. ■AUCKLAND, May 15. The election committee' of the • late Prime Minister has informed Mr .1. N. Massiey of its unanimous wish that lie should stand for Franklin seat, so long held- by his father. Although he has not yet given a definite reply, tho members of the Committee feel he will comply with their wishes.Another candidate in thd Reform interests is- definitely proposed. A meeting of Reform supporters at Papakura- to-day,. decided to ask Rev. W. C. Wood to stand, and are urging the Reform-Party to choose him as its official candidate. No announcement of candidates has yet been made by the Liberal or the Labour -Parties.
