QUEST FOR SOUL MATE. How a hunt for his “soul mate” led to a lonely man being robbed o£ £250 and finally murdered was, told, when Henri Langlois (37), a pastry worker of Rue Lacepede, Paris, confessed to having murdered M. Albert Roy, a carriage proprietor, of Neuilly-sur-Seine. ' ’ M. Roy’s apartment had been Tilled but the only things taken away were a photograph of a young woman aud a packet of letters addressed to him by a person whom he considered as his “fiancee.” The police found that M. Froget, who had becomd. friendly with Roy and found that he wanted a “soul mate.” She invented one for him called Suzanne Aublasai, represented as living ..with her parents at Marseilles and having a cousin at Atlies-Mons. Letters passed between M. Roy and his “soul mate” through the intermediary of Mme. Froget, who herself wrote the letters. M. Roy had been told that his fiancee had a considerable fortune, the use of which she could not enjoy at present. Soon the fair fiancee began to ask for money, and by small sums paid from time to time M. Roy parted eventually with his £250. Some weeks later M.
