Heaviest ewes 38s to 42s 6d, prime ewes 34s to 37 s, medium 30s to 325, light 24sr to 27s 6d. Heaviest wethers 44s' .to 47s 6d, good 38s to 425, lighter weights 34s to 375..- ■ , : Fat lambs: A small yarding with a large proportion of second quality. All prime lambs met with keen’competition at last week’s rates, with seconds Is 6d per head lower. Store sheep: A large .yarding for this time’ of the year, and "a'good sale for all classes. Good half-bred'ewes, lambs' 325, forward half-bred wether lambs 255, -small half-bred one’tooth w'etliers '2ss. two- tooth, cross bred ewes 354'failing mouth ewes 19s to 255. ." Fat cattle: Several-North Canterbury* stations sent large consignments of steers in for to-day’s sale, and. with local ~.drafts,, the entry was. heavy,•, totalling 660 head. Owing tc the over 'supply, steers eased 20s per head, while, good cows and heifers were only slightly lower than at last week. ’ Gonsidering the large yarding the market was satisfactory. Fat cattle :—A yery heavy yarding, and values were'easier by 20s to-25s per head all round. Steers predominated. The quality all round '-was much better- Prime heavy beef made 32s 6d to 36s 6d per 100 lbs; medium 30s to 325. 6d, light 26s to 30s bd, rough, down to 16s 6d per 100 lbs. Store sheep: A. fairly large entry of store sheep, comprising mostly a plain lot. Lambs and wethers were on a par'with last week’s rates, while old .ewes sold draggingly. Good hall bred wether lambs 28s Id, crossbred ewes lambs 27s Id, half bred ewe lambs ’ 325, SAL crossbred ewes 34s 6d, forward wethers 35s 4d. Fat sheep : A large r yarding than' for some time. Prices opened about the same as at last week, 'but as.the sale progressed there was an easing tendency. The yarding comprised mostly ewes, with- '-a -ol wethers. •. The quality ' was, ®n the whole, good.

COMPANY DIVIDENDS. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 14. The Westport Coal Company’s directors have declared an interim dividend of 9d per share for the half year ended March 31.
