Gardner, late of tho Opihi, is now in command of -the Kamo' vice Captain D; M’Donald, who is 'awaiting instructions. The Ihumata is expected to complete her loading -of timber to-day, :and will' sail for Melbourne and Adelaide this evening. The Gabriella is due from Wanganui on Friday. She will load timber for Melbourne. ' ' ' ■ The Coolana is due from Koutu on Thursday to complete loading timber for Melbourne. She will sail about next Tuesday. The Tees sails from Lyttelton’ for Greymouth via Wellington with general cargo to-morrow. The,Ngakuta completed .her loading of coal and timber for New Plymouth last night, but was unable to sail owing to the rough state Of the bar. She will probably get away, this evening. The Kaitangata is in port loading coal and timber for' Wellington. She is expected to sail this evening;'. The Kaituna-arrived this morning from Auckland with general cargo. She will, load timber for Melbourne, and is expected to sail' about Saturday.. The Kahika sailed last night from Lyttelton for Greymouth via Wellington, New Plymouth and Westport. She has on board for discharge a quantity of general cargo from Dunedin. ’ The Orepuki left Lyttelton yesterday for Picton, Nelson, Westpoj’t and Greymouth with general. cargo. After discharge she loads -for Tarakohe. The Opua left Wellington . yesterday for Nelson and Coast with general cargo. After discharge she loads for Nelson and Wanganui. The Waimea left Onehunga yeterday for Nelson and Coast 'with general cargo. ■ ■ - It is a long time since a ship flying the Greek flag has visited Auckland. One arrived the other day, this being the Electra Stravoudi ; with a: cargo of. hardwood‘ timber from . Bunbury.. She has sailed ■. under thre flags. . Originally named tne , Varzin,■ she • was launched at Elens- . berg, Schleswig-Holstein in. 1899. 'Tne vessel then traded under'the. German flag until during the war, when she was taken over by the British. The red ensign-was flown until-e about . three years ago, when the ship was bought by her present' owner, at Chania; Crete, and was renamed. The .
