Nine were nominated, as Borough Councillors,'four for 'the Hospital Board’ and -six for the 'Grey Power Board. As the bare number required ► were nominated for the Borough Council and Hospital Board ho,election will be necessary. Three are required for the Grey Power Board, and as six have been nominated, an election will be necessary. ■ The new Borough Council will be as follow Mayor (Mr W. H.. Parfitt), Councillors —H., F. Docgan, J.. W. Green slade, G. R. Harker, J. B. Kent, F- A. Kitchingham, Jas. McGinley, Jas. O’Brien, G. Perotti, R. J. Williams. Messrs A. ; C. Arinstrong and T. B. Baty did not offer themselves for reelection, and their’places in the new Council will be -taken by Messrs J. B. Kent and G. Perotti. • For the Borough; representation on the Hospital: Board, the following sitting members were returned: —Messrs E. Ashton, J. Brislane, and W. H. Parfitt." Mr R. H. Richmond did not seek re-election, and his place on the new Board will be filled by Mr Jas. Lamberton. Mr G. E. Perkins, who represented the Borough on the Power Board, has decided not to seek re-election. Messrs H. F. Doogan (the present Chairman) and Mr D. Tennent offey themselves for re-election, and Messrs H. J. Bignell, J. W. Greenslade, Jas. O’Brien and G. ; Perotti have alsoi' been nominated. ■ As soon as nominations had closed, Mr W. H. Parfitt returned thanks for his return as Mayor without opposition. He said that he took it as evidence that the burgesses had approved of his efforts. He wished to thank the retiring councillors for tfieir support, and expressed regret at the retirement of.Cr.T. B. Baty. He took the opportunity to congratulate Messrs J. B. Kent and G. Perotti on their return without opposition, and was sure they would both justify public confidence. He hoped the public would support the Borough Council in its efforts to make Greymouth the best town on the West Coast. ' Mr- G. Perotti thanked the electors for allowing him to have a seat on the new Council. His father had been a councillor and was proud of the position.’He hoped his stewardship would be acceptable to the Greymouth public. i

Williams, who has been nominated for the mayoralty for the Borough of Brunner, will address the electors of Dobson to-morrow (Thursday) evening, Stillwater on Friday, and Taylorville on Tuesday. WESTPORT. (Special to “Star.”) WESTPORT, April ’22. ' The Mayor,' Mr J. Menzies, was reelected unopposed. For the Borough Council, Messi's Fair, Greenland, Roche, Shaw, Henley, Fox, Weekes, Jenkins, and Sutherland were elected unopposed. . ' For the .Hospital Board, Messrs Greenland, Caldwell, Fox, Rev.
