The'. Titoki leaves Wellington to-day for Westport .and Greyinouth with, general 'cargo. ' >l The Waimea leaves New Plymouth to-day for Greymouth direct to load coal and timber for Wanganui. _ The- Karori is expected to sail from Auckland about'the end of the week, with- general 'cargo for Greyinouth. She v'ill load coal and timber on arrival for Wellington'and Miramar. 'fhe Kamona is due from Wellingtc|ii, via New Plymouth,' about next Tuesday. She will load coal for Dunedin, completing at Westport for Lyttelton, Oarnaru and Dunedin. New types of propellers, developed through experiments'’by naval experts, are now under construction ’ fqv the Leviathan, and will be installed dulling the vessel’s present annual overhaul. 'The propellers will have three instead of four blades, and are expected to add one-half knot- to her speed with the same power, or will give the same speed at 6,000 less horse-power;' Captain A. Captain R. Huntly has taken coirimaud of the Kokiri, relieving Captain M. Mackenzie, who has gone on holiday. . ? j|.r. J.’ J. Kettle, chief engineer of the Koromiko, has been granted holiday leave, and. Mr. D. Kerr, chief engineer of the Kaitangata, has taken his place. Mr. N. E. Bo water has been appointed chief officer of the Kamo, relieving Sir. W. J. Freeman, who is awaiting instructions.
