BURST TYRE UPSETS CAR. INCHBONNIE BROTHERS’ FATE. ' 'ft •\ ft The accident happened at the intersection of the , North Road and' Daniels Road. The nren admitted, to the hospital were . brothers; . and visitors from the . West Coast. They were William Youngman, aged about 50, of Inchbonnie, and Harry Youngman, aged about 48 of the same address. Each man had his skyll fractured. The car, Chevrolet, N.Z. 44-186, was driven by Henry Youngman who id’'employed by the New Zealand; Farmers’ Co-op. Association, ,at Oxford. The two injured men were his cousins who were paying a visit to South Canterbury to ’see their relatives wholivo.at Oxford., ' ft;

Early this morning, the party left for Christchurch. While travelling down the north road towards .the city, - just- as ■ the calr ' reached 'the' Daniels’road intersection, ~one of the tyres blew out. With a grading crash the car somersaulted and all three were. thrown out. The driver, Henry . Youngman was. thrown clear and escaped with a cut on the back of the neck, and some bruises. His two -cousins, (William and Harry, landed on the hard road on their heads. They- were picked up unconscious arid those who were nearby did-all they could'.for' the ' injured men. The ambulance was immediately .dispatched from Christchurch Hospital and the injured men were taken to the institution. One of the wheels of the car was smashed to pieces, and the body is damaged very much. When the car somersaulted it landed on one side facing the direction from which ’it was coming. Both victims were married men with families, one of them the father of 11 children. William Youngman was-manager of timber mills at Inchbonnie and his brother was manager of a farm in the Inchbonnie district. LATER— Harry Youngman died at 10 o’clock to-night.
