ANALYSIS OF BONES. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, March 24. It is understood that a quantity of material gathered by the police from, the.'Mounts’. garden, at Christchurch, was 'brought to, Dunedin for- examination., by Dr. Gowland, Professor of Anatomy at Otago University. It is; stated that a number of burnt and broken bones were discovered in the material, .but,, in yiew of the serious charge against Mouat, no indication will be given in the meantime as to whether or not they, were human Dr,; Gowland will, under' the circumstances, be .cqlled to give evidence when. (the murder charge against Mouat is brought'before the Police Court again in Christchurch. i ' : ' * FURTHER REMAND GRANTED. CHRISTCHURCH, March 25. Frederick Peter Mouat, now in custody on a charge of murdering his wife Nellie, Mouat,. at St. Martins, appeared on remand this morning. • , . ■ Tlte Crown Prosecutor, in asking for a tomand till next Wednesday! said that it ! would be two or three w-eeks before' the case was complete. The Magistrate: Will you be able to take any of the evidence next week ? Mr Donnelly: No; sir. I prefer to have it taken altogether. A remand was granted.
