TEACHER’S SUICIDE
SEQUEL TO ILLNESS.

SHANNON, September 12.
At the inquest on William Voysey, headmaster of the Shannon State School, it was disclosed that deceased met his death from a gunshot wound self-inflicted.
He was found dead in the kitchen of , the school residence, with a gun alongside, and a wound over the heart. He left a note indicating the intention of taking his life on account of illhealth, and also directions for the disposal of his affairs. He had been headmaster iat Shannon for 35 years, and was previously a teacher in Westland. He was single, and was due to retire at the end of the year.
