WEDDING

ANDERSON—GALLAGHER.

The wedding took place ’at St. Michael’s Church, Cronadun, on Monday evening, of Miss Margaret (Dolly) Gallagher, youngest daughter of the late Mr John and Mrs Gallagher, of Cronadun, and Mr Thomas J. Anderson, of the Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington, eldest son of Mr and' Mrs L. Anderson, of Oamaru. Rev. Father Herring, S.M., officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr M. O’Malley, wore a gown of cream brocaded marocain witn pearl trimmings. She also wore a veil and head-band of pearls prettily arranged with orange blossoms, and carried a sheaf of cream chrysanthemums. Miss B. O’Malley as bridesmaid wore a charming gowns of velvet and lace of burnt orange shade. Her hairband of autumn tints matched her bouquet of chrysanthemums, and she wore a diamond and pearl ring, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Frank O’Donnell was best man. Mrs J. Crowley played the Wedding March.

A reception was held in the Cronadun Memorial Hall, when only relatives and close friends of the bride and bridegroom were present. Later in the evening the young folk of the district were entertained at a dance, when a most enjoyable time was spent. Excellent music was supplied by Messrs J. Oats and C. Roberts, while the duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr F. O’Donnell. Mr and Mrs Anderson left by motor for Grey, en route to their future home in Wellington, the bride wearing a brown velvet frock with panel of Eastern embroidery and hat of biege marocain with metal trimmings. She also wore a squirrel fur coat, the gift of the bridegroom. ,
