——•- ,i MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The executive of the West . Coast Rugby Union met last evening. Mr G. E. Perkins presided, and there were also present: Messrs J. Guy, J. Owen, T. Macintosh, L. Armstrong, C. A. Mathieson, and the secretary, Mr N. AV. Jones.

A letter was received from the Inangahua Sub-Union appointing Mr J. Kyle as their delegate. Confirmation was received from the New Zealand Union of the reinstatement to Rugby of J. McCabe. A letter was received from the New Zealand Union in reference to a trial match to be held at Wellington on May 21.

It was resolved to write and suggest, in view of the West Coast playing Buller on May 17, that the Coast representatives go forward frem here on Monday morning, via Nelson, joining with the Buller men instead of going via Christchurch; and also to advise Marlborough that the Union had decided to select red and white jerseys for the West Coast and Buller v. Golden Bay, Nelson and Marlborough match on May 21. A letter was received from the New Zealand Union advising that no application from an admitted or a reinstated or a re-admitted player, who has reverted to the League code, will be entertained. ;

It was decided to favourably recommend the folowing for re-admission to the Rugby code: —J. M. Young, Ernest and Harold Holmes. It was decided to define the southern boundary as Kapitea Creek. In regard to the Fourth Grade competition, a suggestion was adopted that during this season the union may at its discrimination consider applications through clubs of boys over 17 years of age, to allow such boys to play Fourth Grade. .

It was resolved that if the 1 races are postponed next Saturday to carry out the fixtures set down, otherwise the matches will be played on the folowing week.

The Westland Sub-Union wrote appointing Mr D. Powell as the representative on the West Coast Selection Committee.

It was decided to meet the Westland Football Association by cancelling the Technical v. United Fourth Grade match set down for 1.30 p.m. on Saturday. The following postponement committee was appointed : —Messrs G. E. Perkins, C. A. Mathieson and N. W.' Jones.

Referees for Saturday’s matches were appointed as follow : — United B v. Cobden, (jobden, Mr L. Clarke.

Star B. v. Kumara, Kumara, Mr L. Chapman. United A. v. Star A., at Park, Mr W. Williams.
