MISSING MEN FOUND

A RESCUER LOST.

PALMERSTON NORTH, April 28. The missing men Escott senior and junior, who were reported on Saturday as missing on, the ranges between Eketahuna and Mangahao Hydro Electric Works were met by a search party of men on Saturday in the. vicinity of the work. They stated they had been delayed by fogs and dirty weather, but had taken shelter and conserved the food supplies. They had spent two nights without a fire as the matches had got wet. They had little food on the later part of the journey. Escott is an experienced bushman. Mr Dunnage, a member of the party which met the Escotts, left to return to Mangahao to advise the camp. He has. not been seen since. It is believed he has been drowned in one of the gorges. A search for him is. being made.
