JEJ.CISG professor at the Royal College iipithe University of Toronto, where he , is. about to be publicly honoured fry the Government. Box’s treatment is praised in/ unqualified .terms .by Mr Forbes Godfred, Provincial Minister of Health/ who declares that the discovery is as important in the dental field as Banting’s insulin In the medical. The Box process.does not use vaccine or medicine.. but is simply a. pathological theory which hitherto was unproved. Box shows that pyorrhea originates in the membranous lining of the, gums,The lessening of some tooth sdckets sufficiently admits myrobis and causes traumatic occlusion 1 due to unequal pressure on the teeth. NEW YORK, March 7. A tolerant statement, to-night, by ten Episcopal Ministers’ of divergent theological opinions, blew a breath of fresh air into the overheated Fundamentalist controversy. The statement is the result of an informal amicable discussion among the signers, who declare-—“ The .facts whereon the Christian faith, is based have stood the test of centuries, therefore, 1 we are more ready to recognise the right of scholars to the widest freedom '.of thought and inquiry in the field of Biblical and theological research. This may be termed evil, but it is less grave than foreclosing inquiry by invoking a method of authority. Faith is not a mere act of intellect ; its value depends upon the extent to which it becomes the basis of our daily living. We believe that men’s minds move in divergent intellectual orbits, yet feel between themselves a central attraction of some Divine power, which binds us all invincibly together.”
