DECLINING A DUEL. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) SYDNEY, November 9. The hearing of the divorce case in which Francisco Lubrano di Negozio, a prominent shipping agent, residing at Darling Point, is seeking a divorce from his wife on the grounds of misconduct with Signor Luigi Vitali, Italian Consul, was continued to-day. Negozio, the petitioner, questioned regarding a duel incident, said: “When a duel was mentioned, I opened the door and went out. I am not a fencer. A second duelling incident was mentioned when I and my wife were voyaging from Australia. A matter arose in which a ship’ officer considered a reflection was cast on his honour. This officer and another waited upon me, he said, and challenged me to a duel. However, I felt disgusted, and did not fight.
