SYDNEY DIVORCE CASE

ITALIAN CONSUL-INVOLVED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, November 8. A society divorce case is creating much interest here. Francisco Lubrano di Negozio, a prominent shipping agent, residing at Darling Point, is seeking a divorce from his wife on the grounds of misconduct with Sigonr' Luigi Vitali, Italian Consul, irom whom £5OOO damages is claimed. Both the respondent and co-respon-dent deny the charges. On behalf of the respondent, issues are raised against the petitioner alleging cruelty and adultery with some person unknown. According to Signor Lubrano s tsory, after a futile conference of the parties to try aiul settle the matter, Signor Vitali said: “If you are not satisfied, I will fight a duel with you. If we cannot fight in Australia, we can go to New Caledonia and fight there.”
