PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Tees, Wellington, this day. Joan Craig, Sydney, Saturday. The Opua arrived from Tarakohe yesterday afternoon, after being delayed in tiie roadstead. She loaded coal for the same port, sailing this morning. The Baden Powell, from Wellington, is on her way to Greymouth, but owing to bad weather has been held, up along the coast. The Orepv.ki, from Lyttelton, is due here on Friday and will load timber for Lyttelton again. The Joan Craig, which is loading timber for Sydney, is due to sail for Australia on Saturday. The Tees has completed her loading of coal and timber for Wellington and Lyttelton. She was unable to sail last night owing to the state of the bar, but is expected to get away to-night. The Kini sailed from Onehunga yesterday for Greymouth with general cargo. The Karoro sailed yesterday from Portland for Greymouth direct. The Kaitoa leaves Nelson to-day for Onehunga. She loads at the latter port on Friday with general cargo for Nelson and West Coast ports. The Alexander is due at this port on Monday from Wanganui and Westport, and loads coal and timber for New Plymouth. The Waimea arrived yesterday from Wellington, via Nelson and Westport. She loads coal and sails to-day for
Nelson. The Regulus is due here on Thursday evening from Wellington, via way ports, with general cargo. On discharge she loads coal, timber and general cargo for Wellington. The Titoki leaves Picton to-morrow, and Wellingon on Friday, for Greymouth, via way ports. AT OTHER PORTS. OAMARU, September 19. Arrived at 10 a.m., Ngahere, from Greymouth. to London. TAHITI’S RECORD RUN. WELLINGTON, September 15. Cable advice has been received by the Union Steam Ship Company that the R.M.S. Tahiti, which left Wellington late on the evening of August 28, arrived at San Francisco at 6 p.m. on Thursday, after a record passage of days, including stops at Rarotonga and Papeete. The speed throughout the voyage averaged over 16 knots. Her mails are expected to connect with the Mauretania, leaving New York on Tuesday, and as her passage across the Atlantic is usually 5 to 6 days, this would make the through time from Wellington to the United Kingdom about 27 days. CHANGSHA SALVAGE.
CHANGSHA SALVAGE
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, September 19. The agents of the Changsha have been advised that the salvage tug arrived alongside on Friday. The divers considered that under favorable conditions the vessel could be refloated within six days. Patches will be fixed on the outside of the hull. The Kut will replace the Changsha in the Eastern trade during the period when the repairs are being effected.
