SOCCER CODE. (Special to the ‘'Star”) CHRISTCHURCH, July 24. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Canterbury Football Association, Mr F. Bennett (West Coast) gave an interesting address on Association football matters on the Coast. He stated that the game was undoubtedly going ahead, and the time had arrived when representative matches would be most welcome. Unfortunately, he could not guarantee that those matches would be a financial success, and he wanted to make this quite clear to visiting teams. It was decided to send a representative team to the West Coast, the date to be determined by the Match Committee. Air 11. McKeowen, Secretary of the Westland Football Association, has received advice from the Now Zealand Football Association to the effect that the visit, of the Chinese. University Soccer football team, to Now Zealand is cancelled. Greymouth was included in the anticipated itinerary.
