— THE IMPERIAL STANDPOINT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, July 10. The Lord Mayor gave a luncheon at the Mansion House to the High Commissioners and to the Imperial Education Conference delegates. The Lord Mayor toasted the delegates, and Air. Viljoen, Director of Education in South Africa, replied. He paid a tribute to the English education system. The principal achievements of the Conference were, first, the establishment of an Impeiral bureau; secondly, the organisation of free, unfettered educational interchange throughout the Empire ; thirdly, it laid the foundation of an International Commonwealth education.
