At the Police Court, Victor Kirner and James Scorringe, Weraroa escapees, pleaded guilty and were committed for sentence at the Supreme Court, IV ellington, on two charges of breaking, entering, and theft. Kirner had only been recommitted to Weraroa, following similar charges with another escapee at Palmerston North, when he again escaped. ’
