Parents guardians and patrons are reminded that the Cobden Schools picnic will be held on Saturday next on Omoto Racecourse. The train leaves at 10 a.m., and tickets for school children will bo issued by committeemen at Cobden Bridge. Should sufficient inducement offer, McGlashan’s bus will depart from Cobden at one o’clock. Read advertisement for full particulars. The Railway and Foundry will hold a euchre tournament and dance in Carey’s Hall, Cobden, to-morrow evening. The catering of the supper is in the hands of the Cobden Ladies Committee, music, will be supplied by Williams’ Orchestra, and a good floor with an efficient M.C. All are welcome. Admission, Gents 2/-, Ladies 1/-.

Ratepayers aro advised to pay rip promptly as a penalty of 10 per cent, will become due and payable on all rates outstanding after Ist March. tin Saturday next at 2 p.m., Harley and Co. Ltd., will sell by auction a largo quantity of furniture etc. Tne lino comprises bedroom, diningroom, and kitchen furniture, also largo gas stove, phonograph and 70 records, lawn mower etc. Wo advise all to attend the sale.
