SWEET PEAS
DISPLAY AT ST. JOHN'S. ’ .. ' Evidence that the gardens of Greymouth have received careful attention during the last few months was given at’ St. John’s Hall to-day, when the annual Sweet Pea Show of the St. John’s Horticultural Society attracted a number of very ■ fine entries. The interior of the hall is a blaze of colour. Some really choice blooms jaavo been gathered together and arrayed in a charming manner around the hall. The show, of which Mr A. H. Paterson is the hon. secretary, reflects the greatest credit upon the society. Mr D. Bradbury acted as • judge of the flowers and vegetables, and Mr P. Blanchfield 'adjudicated in the cookery section. Following were the stall holders: — Flower Stall.—Miss Bush and Mrs Tennerit. Cut flowers, .Miss Baxter. Vegetables, Miss McGregor and Mrs Kilpatrick. Confecteionery, Mrs Stewart and the Misses Mathieson. Work Stall, Mrs Clark and Mrs Low. Cookery Stall, Mrs Drake and Mrs Orr. Tea Rooms, Airs J. Hambleton and staff.
