A deputation consisting of Hie .Mayor (Mr. J. D. Lynch) and Councillor James O’Brien, M.P., waited upon the District Traffic Manager this morning regarding |he dangerous Tainui Street crossing and urged the early installation of alarm bells. The District Traffic Manager promised to place the views of the deputation before his Department at Hie earliest moment. At the same time he said that the Department recognised the need for the installation, which had been previously promised.
